Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the activities, events, resources, and incubation program (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Biocatalyst Foundation (“we,” “our,” or “us”), a private non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering biotech innovation and entrepreneurship in the Baltics, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and Europe.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or participating in our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using our Services.
2. Eligibility
Participation in certain Services, including our incubation program, may require meeting specific eligibility criteria, such as residency, experience in the biotech field, or affiliation with certain academic or research institutions. By applying, you certify that you meet all stated criteria.
3. Program Participation
For participants in our incubation program, additional guidelines may apply. By entering the program, participants agree to:
- Engage in all designated activities and meet all outlined milestones.
- Provide regular progress updates as required by program staff.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information shared by other program participants.
Participation in the incubation program does not guarantee funding, investment, or partnership. Any agreements with potential investors or partners shall be governed by separate terms between the involved parties.
4. Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of any intellectual property (IP) developed independently before or during their engagement with us. However, by participating in our program, you agree to respect and uphold the IP rights of others. In collaborative projects, IP rights and responsibilities will be specified in individual agreements.
5. Confidentiality
All participants are expected to uphold strict confidentiality regarding any proprietary or sensitive information encountered through our Services. Disclosure of such information outside the program without explicit permission is strictly prohibited.
6. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to offer valuable resources and support, we make no guarantees regarding the success or outcomes of our Services. Biocatalyst Foundation shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in our Services.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants agree to maintain respectful and professional conduct at all times. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of participation in the Services.
8. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Latvia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
